Reflective Sheeting

COMMERCIAL GRADE

The material typically is utilized for short time Advertisement / signs, stickers, no. plates within areas having low volume, little competing surroundinglight and lower speed traffic.A Medium-Intensity Retroreflective sheeting referred to as 'Commercial Grade" and typically enclosed lens glass-bead sheeting. Typical applications for this material are permanent highway signing, construction zone devices, and delineators.

ENGINEERING GRADE

Type I, also known as Engineer Grade: Basic reflective sheeting, made up of very small glass beads enclosed in a translucent pigmented substrate. Has no distinctive identifying pattern, other than, of course, it reflects. This material is one of the most durable (in its ability to withstand rough handling) of all the sign sheeting products. Generally regarded to have a seven year service life Best for:This sheeting is generally utilized for signs within areas having lower speed traffic, low volume, and little surrounding light. Medium-Intensity Retroreflective Sheeting referred to as "Engineering Grade" and typically enclosed lens glass-bead sheeting. Typical applications for this material are permanent Highway Signing, Construction Zone Devices, and Delineators.

HIGH INTENSITY PRISMATIC GRADE-HIP

This is also a multi-layer sheeting, except that the reflective layer is made of microscopic cube-corner reflectors instead of glass beads - known as a "microprismatic" layer. This sheeting can be distinguished by the pattern of small "squares" superimposed upon a hexagonal lattice grid. This sheeting is about seven times as bright as Type I. Cost is comparable to type III. Generally regarded to have a ten year service life. Best for : This type of sheeting is used for all traffic situations. High Intensity Prismatic is extremely reflective at large angles for the approaching traffic.A High-Intensity Retroreflective sheeting. This sheeting is typically an unmetallized microprismatic retroreflective element material. Typical applications for this material are permanent highway signing, construction zone devices, and delineators.

PREMIUM PRISMATIC GRADE / TYPE-XI

Best for: This reflective sheeting is used in all road safety application and imparts excellentperformance at all sight distances, and light and weather conditions.A very-High-intensity Retroreflective sheeting having highest Retroreflectivity characteristics at short road distances. This sheeting is typically an unmetallized microprismatic retroreflective element material. Typical applications for this material are permanent highway signing, construction zone devices, and delineators.

COLORED OVERLAY FILMS REFLECTIVE

Colored Overlay Retro-Reflective films are an acrylic film specifically designed for use with electronic plotters. Colored Overlay Retro-Reflective films is a durable, dimensionally stable, transparent, colored film with a highly transparent, pressure sensitive adhesive protected with a removable liner. These films offers optimal cutting, weeding, lifting, application, and adhesion to all Retro-Reflective sheeting.

Colored Overlay Retro-Reflective films may be applied on White Retro-Reflective sheeting to produce high quality street name, guide, and other traffic control signs. These films is especially effective where a small quality signs is required or in those geographical regions where air quality regulations prohibit the use of solvent based screening inks.

VEHICLE CONSPICUITY TAPES

Vehicle Conspicuity Tape is the original version of conspicuity used in the United States, Brazil and other countries for truck conspicuity. It is a metallized microprismatic tape offering easy application with its single-ply construction. V-5720 is a highly durable tape available in various striping configurations. All V-5720 is available with logo configuration.

Avery Dennison V-6700B Series Conspicuity Tapes are approved for ECE-48 & ECE-104 regulations:

  • Prismatic lens technology meets high visibility requirments and increases visibility of marked vehicles
  • Repositional adhesive allows for faster, easier installation
  • Omni-directional technology allows installers to install in any orientation and maintain maximum reflectivity
  • Single layer construction eliminates dirt and water penetration on edges and protects against impact and pressure washing

The typical applications for the retroreflective sheeting addressed in this specification are:

  • Type-I- Highway Signing, construction-zone devices, and delineators.
  • Type-II- Highway Signing, construction-zone devices, and delineators.
  • Type-III- Highway Signing, construction-zone devices, and delineators.
  • Type-IV- Highway Signing, construction-zone devices, and delineators.
  • Type-V- Delineators.
  • Type-VI -Temporary roll-up signs, warning signs, traffic cone collars.
  • Type-VII- Highway Signing, construction-zone devices, and delineators.
  • Type-VIII- Highway Signing, construction-zone devices, and delineators.
  • Type-IX & XI- Highway Signing, construction-zone devices, and delineators.
